The Harbour Agency provides the very best Australian talent for hotels, clubs, festivals, private functions and major outdoor and industry calendar events through out metropolitan and regional Australia.

The Harbour Agency had a legacy website that was difficult to maintain and did not showcase their diverse roster of artists. Conversant Studios was contracted to build a new website that solved both of these problems and quickly.

Using Textpattern to provide the framework, we were able to produce a website in a very short space of time that answered both of these requirements . The crew at The Harbour Agency have been maintaining the site since June ‘06.

Everyone Speaks English was the travel blog I put together for our trip to North America.

Turbosmart builds and manufacturs customised performance car parts and has worldwide distribution.

Conversant Studios was first contracted to provide maintenance to the first generation (read ‘frame-based’) of the Turbosmart website.

Redeveloping Turbosmart

Conversant Studios was then asked to redesign and redevelop the Turbosmart website on a boot-strapped budget. One of the requirements was to provide a simple content management system. Given the budget, we decided to use the open source blogging engine Textpattern to provide the guts of the content management system.

The result has been a fully functioning website that is now managed on a daily basis by the customer.

Red Communication Australia is owned and operated by Peter James Ryan – one of Australia’s leading retail strategy consultants and a man who has demonstrated a long held passion for retail businesses and the people who work in them.

Conversant Studios was contracted to develop an entire online strategy for Red Communication Australia.

Design and branding

Our brief was to develop a strong and striking brand for Red Communication Australia and to provide a showcase of the services offered by Peter James Ryan. The result is an instantly recognisable brand that has a strong impact.

To enable Peter James Ryan to continue a dialog with his existing and prospective clients, we used Textpattern for a content management system. This allows Peter to manage eachand every aspect of the website without the need to contact his web developers.

Shoreshocked is an annual youth music festival on the north side of Sydney.

Australian Premier Relocations was established in 2005. This was in response to the increased demands of skilled migrants coming to Australia, but who were being poorly managed by their new employer who had neither the time or skills internally to handle the arrival needs of the new employee and their family.

We were contracted to provide an entire online solution and brand to showcase the services offered by Australian Premier Relocations. On a very tight budget we manage to develop a strong brand identity and roll this out across business cards, stationery and the website. We then used Textpattern to provide a simple content management system for the APR team.

Outerspace Design is a product development team committed to the delivery of design success that specialises in industrial design, product engineering and brand development.

Design and development

We were contracted by Outerspace Design to give the legacy website a complete overhaul to make the site findable by the major search engines. Working with the in-house design team, Conversant Studios developed a strategy to build a showcase of the Outerspace Design team and their award winning work.

By using Textpattern to manage the content across the site, we have managed to provide fine-grained control to the Outerspace Design team who maintain the site in a daily basis.
